As an amateur artist, I enjoy oil painting landscapes and seascapes, especially mixing the colors of sky and water.
My college roommate at Buffalo State was an art major, which piqued my interest, so I began to paint several years after graduation. I’ve taken many adult education and art gallery classes over the years and have dabbled in water colors but have limited lessons and experience in that media and have always preferred oil.
As an elementary teacher, art projects were my favorite. I even was a nursery school art teacher! The last few years I’ve donated a painting to raise money for breast cancer research. Being retired now and painting outdoors on my patio in Florida is such a blessing!
